Our Services

Our Services

Our aim is to assist clients to protect all of their Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).

Our main UK office is in the city of York where all files are held and managed. In addition to our core members we engage an experienced network of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys to complement the team and handle specialist subject matter. This network of consultants operate as representatives of BRANDED!  operating through our central office and are supported by our CIPA and CITMA qualified patent and trade mark paralegals.

BRANDED! is regulated by the Intellectual Property Regulation Board.

Brand creation

Although a name that immediately tells customers what you sell may sound attractive, it will be difficult – or even impossible - to protect, so you may be better served by a name that will grow and mature with the business as you expand. We will advise on the pitfalls and offer guidance for you to make the best choice to protect your interests moving forward.

 Acquisition and clearance
of brands

We conduct clearance searches and advise on risks involved before you decide to start using a new trade mark.   We can also conduct due diligence searches surrounding business acquisitions.

Patents

We engage suitably qualified and experienced Patent Attorneys to complement the team and handle specialist subject matter, supported by a CIPA qualified Patents Paralegal within our central office, to assist clients with a full range of services in relation to patents.

 Protection and registration

We advise and act on all aspects of protecting your trade mark or other rights, such as design rights. We will discuss your needs before preparing and filing applications directly with the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) or the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO). Our related company based in Ireland, Re:Markability Limited, works directly with the Intellectual Property Office of Ireland and the EU Intellectual Property Office to secure trade mark rights in Ireland and the European Union. In other territories we will work with skilled attorneys to obtain your protection in overseas markets.

Maintaining your rights

Trade mark registrations usually last for a minimum of ten years and if properly maintained can last indefinitely.

Your registered rights will be placed on our data base and you will be reminded of important anniversaries in good time to maintain your rights.

We will also inform you when we have been alerted to a third party attempt to secure protection for a trade mark likely to damage your interests.
